Rural Council Reinstates Apostrophe

The Council in Mid Devon, England, has changed its mind about working to ban the apostrophe in street signs in the area.

Metro reports the Council will recommend to the ruling cabinet that the policy be changed to allow for  apostrophes again.

The Council sought to ban the use of apostrophes and all other punctuation in street signs to avoid confusion.

But the council itself apparently wound up confused over the huge backlash the decision caused.
